Programs |
1. Enrollment for new dancers is ongoing throughout the year. Our dancers are expected to attend classes from August 31, 2011 through June 16, 2012 with optional summer classes from June 18, 2012 through August 11, 2012.
2. Each new dancer is invited to attend one trial class without further obligation or commitment ($15).
3. At the end of the trial class, continuing dancers may enroll in the school at which time they pay the annual enrollment fee ($35), first and last month's tuition and purchase the class uniform. The class uniform includes leotard, tights and shoes.

CREATIVE DANCE (ages 2 & 3): 30-minute class meets once a week
This program combines creative movement and imaginative play with dance skills for a greater learning experience. The teacher will guide and your child in a way that makes discovering dance easy and fun. Your child will engage in movement activities essential to proper development of balance and coordination, recognizing music and rhythms, counting and timing, peer socialization, and self-confidence. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.

PRE-DANCE I (ages 3 & 4): 45-minute class meets once a week
This program introduces your child to basic dance technique and terminology. Your child will develop musicality, creative expression, self-awareness, and self-confidence. This program will also help your child learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.

PRE-DANCE II (ages 5 & 6): 60-minute class meets once a week
This program focuses on enhancing and refining skills learned in previous levels as well as introducing dancers to new steps and techniques. Your child will learn to stay focused and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in dance class. Your child will also develop excellent communication skills by learning to listen attentively and demonstrating their understanding. Your child will also develop a great work ethic by learning to be reliable and self-motivated in dance class. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.

DANCE I - III (ages 7 & up): 60-minute class meets one to three times a week
This program provides dancers with a well-rounded dance education. Dancers will be instilled with confidence along with developing body strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination. Dancers will be shown how core curriculum subjects such as math, literature, and language arts are present in dance. Dancers will also gain a lasting appreciation for dance as an art form and as a physical technique. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.

DANCE IV - V (ages 10 & up): 90-minute class meets four to five times a week
This program prepares the dancer for a future career or collegiate study. Dancers will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to continue their dance education in college and receive scholarships based on their dance talent, community service, and academics. Dancers will also learn auditioning skills to help prepare them for any dance audition they may be training for. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.

TEEN/ADULT DANCE: 60-minute class meets once a week
Over the course of this program, classes will cover the fundamentals of dance with an emphasis on introducing each dancer to the structure of a dance class and the core elements of technique. Our dancers progress through each class developing body awareness, correct alignment, strength, and increased flexibility. Even if you’re convinced you were born with two left feet, this program will guide you through the process of learning the fundamentals. All dancers learn a routine to perform in our year-end performance.
